What is an Email QR code?
An Email QR code encodes an email address with optional subject and body. When scanned, the phone opens its default mail app with everything pre filled. The sender just adds their own content, or hits send if the body is already complete.

What is an Email QR code?

Will it work with Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail?
Yes. The QR uses the standard mailto: URI scheme, which is supported by every major mail app on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and the web.
Can I leave subject and body empty?
Yes. With only an address, scanning opens an empty draft to your inbox.
Can I send the email automatically when scanned?
No. Phones always open a draft for the user to review and send manually. This is a security and privacy guarantee enforced by the operating system.
