What is ITF-14?
ITF-14 is the 14 digit barcode used on shipping cases, outer cartons, and pallets in distribution chains. It encodes a GTIN-14 (Global Trade Item Number, 14 digit form) and is read by scanners in warehouses, distribution centers, and retail back of house operations.
ITF-14 uses the Interleaved 2 of 5 symbology and is typically printed with bearer bars (a horizontal frame around the barcode) that protect scan reliability on the rough surfaces of corrugated cardboard.
